Brenna, Haven, & Mazie

BRENNA is 13 and in 8th grade at Math Science Academy in Harrisburg - just a few blocks from our house. She's actively involved with the gifted program at school and has gotten some amazing opportunities such as learning claymation, going to Penn State for the WISE program (Women in Science and Engineering), doing some challenging math work and will be taking the SAT test for the Johns Hopkins Youth Talent Search in January. When she's not being a brainiac at school she enjoys drawing, playing on the computer, and watching LOST with Pat! She's also still pursuing her modeling and acting career and is working with her agents to get as many jobs as possible. This picture is from a photo shoot she did for a clothing company! She seems to grow more everyday and is a truly beautiful person inside and out!

HAVEN is 10 and in 5th grade. She is also attending Math Science Academy and is actually considered to be in middle school since the school is for 5th through 8th grade. She loves having a locker and getting to move to different classrooms with different teachers for each subject. She's adjusting to this change very well and was even on the honor role for her first marking period! Haven is still riding and developing into quite a talent in that arena (pun intended!) She and her pony Giselle have been Champion in the Hopeful Hunter division at a local show circuit at 3 out of 3 horse shows! She got the chance to spend many hours this October at the Penn National Horse Show watching every class she possibly could! I think she's planning on riding in the show one of these days - soon! When not in school or on her pony she loves to read, play the computer, and listen to lots of music! Haven has had a lot of orthodontic work done this year. Just before last Christmas she had surgery to graft more bone from her hip to her upper jaw, pull several teeth, and revise some of the previous work on her lip and nose. She wore an expander and braces for many months and just a few weeks ago had them removed and was fitted with a shiny new retainer! She is one of the bravest and determined young ladies I know! In March, just after she turns 11, she will be going through another bone grafting surgery and would appreciate your prayers and thoughts.

MAZIE is 7 but will be turning 8 in February. She is technically in 2nd grade at Ben Franklin Project Discovery but spends much of her time doing work with the 3rd grade class. She loves the challenge and seems to be thriving with the extra work. She still loves to ride her pony Hobbit when she gets the chance though her new love is dancing! She's doing acrobatics, ballet, jazz and tap all in one night! She, like Brenna, continues to pursue acting and modeling and has recently declared that she hopes to be a fashion designer when she grows up! She's also been learning to play the guitar and loves to write songs like her mom! Her other favorite things to do are play with friends, watch shows on the Disney Channel, play UNO with anyone who will oblige, cook, and spend time doing family stuff! She keeps us all smiling and on our toes with her quick wit and animated ways. She is truly a joy and blessing to us all.
